Fundraising 2026

In 2026, the Wheatsheaf will be continuing to support this charity by making donations through fundraising events, which also include donating much-needed products.

The main event this year is the Beetroot Beer and Blues Festival. 3 days celebrating the mighty Beetroot, the wonderful Beer served at the Wheatsheaf and accompanied by some of the best Blues music from Suffolk musicians and beyond, this 3-day Festival aims to raise as much money as we can for Lighthouse.

About Lighthouse

 

Lighthouse is a Suffolk-based charity that supports women, young people and children who are affected by domestic abuse.

They offer refuge for women, young people and children who are fleeing an abusive situation.

​

Once safe, the Lighthouse team help to rebuild those lives that have been affected. From sorting out benefits, to arranging school places and assisting with moving on into a new home when ready.

​

They also run a women’s centre in central Ipswich. This service is open to women, young people and children affected by domestic abuse. However, anyone can contact them for advice.

​

They are not there to judge or pressure anyone into making decisions they aren’t comfortable with. There services are free, and confidential.
